MARSHALL, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) – Like many area football programs the Marshall Lions are discussing changes they may need to make to keep their student athletes ready for the fall football season. All schools throughout the country remain closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Marshall head coach Jared Boyll says they will keep their plans fluid for the summer.

“The only lingering effects that I could see is just summer stuff if it does get canceled you know you’re going to lose camps you’re going to lose seven on sevens you’re going to lose time together where you get to put in your playbook and you really get to know each other as a team get to know guys that maybe you didn’t know were going to be standout going to be players for you that put in that work in the offseason because at the end of the day you’re going to play on Friday night and that’s an opportunity that we’re presented with and we’re going to go with it and make the best out of it,” Boyll said.
