A day after a divisional win, the Indianapolis Colts received some bad news on Monday.
Coach Chuck Pagano announced the team placed Andrew Luck in concussion protocol.
Coach Pagano believes the quarterback suffered the injury in Sunday’s 4th quarter.
With a short week of rest, Luck’s status for Thursday night’s Thanksgiving matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers is clouded with doubt.
“You’ve got to feel better. You’ve got to take an impact test, pass an impact test, practice non-contact then have another day. Then you take another impact test then be cleared by an independent. Again, that’s our trainers and docs that’ll handle that,” Coach Pagano on what concussion protocol entails.
If the team’s star QB is unable to play, back-up Scott Tolzien will get the start.
Thursday’s game is at 8:25 ET on NBC.
