Loogootee & Linton prep for state title games

JASPER. Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – For the second consecutive season, the Loogootee and Linton girls basketball teams clinched appearances in the state title game. Loogootee beat Greenwood Christian 43-33 on Saturday afternoon behind 16 points from Kalea Fleming. They will face Pioneer on Saturday at 11 am at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

After that game, the Linton girls took the same floor and defeated University 70-32. Vanessa Shafford combined for 27 points, as did Haley Rose and Gentry Warrick. The Lady Miners will look to defend their title on Friday night against Tipton. That game is slated to tip off at 7 pm.
