BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute South Braves finish with a team score of 310 to win the girls golf sectional at Forest Park Friday afternoon. Rylee Roscoe led the Braves with 70. Presley White finished with a 78 for the Braves.

“Super excited. I feel like we all did really well today so I feel like it’s kind of a good round to come off of going into regionals it makes everyone kind of feel like in a positive way so it’s a good round to come off of,” says Roscoe.

South Junior Presley White says, “It’s really exciting because obviously I have never won a sectional, but it’s something to look forward to and something I’ll always keep in the back of my mind.”

“Yeah, hopefully we can stay strong like we have been recently and do just as well at regionals next Saturday.“

“I think since I’ve been coaching this is the lowest score any team has shot at Forest Park so couldn’t be more proud of the effort,” says Head Coach Cara Stuckey.

“They had today to go out there and use their confidence to score low. You know today is just a starting point we’ll enjoy tonight, but then starting tomorrow our focus will be on Country Oaks.“

Northview’s Kyia Fox was second overall with a 75. Karsyn Kitka finished third with 77.

Northview finished second as a team with 335. Terre Haute North is third with 388.

The regional will take place next weekend at Country Oaks.
