TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Indiana State Sycamores are using their time wisely at the ISU Arena these days. The Sycamores and second year head coach Josh Schertz are in their second week of workouts. ISU has eight new players and seven returning from last year’s team which makes these days so important.
“The most important part for everybody this time of the year with returners and newcomers is building your habits and laying a foundation,” says head coach Josh Schertz.
“Repetition is the key to building good habits. You have a chance to get in and get a lot of repetitions so hopefully with the newcomers (they) have been great in terms of coming in and working hard and paying attention to detail. The returners have been good about understanding what we are doing and setting a good example and working at a pace we need to so it’s early in it, but so far so good.”
