TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana State Football held a scrimmage Saturday night at Memorial Stadium as fall camp comes to a close and the Sycamores prepare for the August 31st opener against Eastern Illinois.
The defense made several big plays including an interception in the endzone by DB Maddix Blackwell.
“We’re 12 days away. You know, I’ve said this before you don’t have to remind them how many days away it is,” Head Coach Curt Mallory says.
The Sycamores will close fall camp officially on Monday and turn their attention to starting the season against the Panthers.
“The only expectation we have here at Indiana State is to win and everybody knows that we’ve done a good job of echoing that throughout the whole offseason,” Quarterback Cade Chambers says.
