CLINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Sullivan Sophomore Quarterback Blake Fraker threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to DJ Gaines late in the 4th quarter to tie the score at 28 and send the bronze helmet game vs. South Vermillion into overtime.

The game picked up after being suspended due to lightning with 3:50 to go in the 4th quarter with South Vermillion leading 28-14. The Golden Arrows responded with 2 touchdowns in 1:27 to send the game into overtime.

Both teams traded touchdowns in the first overtime and in the second overtime Sullivan Senior James Propes came up with an interception on the Wildcats possession. Sullivan Junior Sam Fathauer stepped up and drilled a 35-yard field goal to give the Golden Arrows the 38-35 win in double overtime.

The Golden Arrows take home the bronze helmet for the 14th consecutive year and move to 2-0 on the season. They’ll host Northview Friday September 1st at 7 p.m.
