SPENCER, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – In a battle of undefeated teams, the 4-0 Owen Valley Patriots will host the 4-0 Northview Knights on Friday night. Rob Gibson is in his 2nd year as the head coach at Owen Valley and says this matchup could have playoff implications.

“Going into a game like this you know this has conference championship title written all over it you know we still have to win out they have to beat Indiana Creek at the end of the year we have to beat Sullivan week 6 so there’s so many things we have to do yet you know towards the end of the year but definitely get excited with big games like this especially playing against teams that do things the right way and they’re well coached like Northview is,” Gibson said.

Added senior running back Christian McDonald “They’re coming here Northview is a hard place to play but I think with our atmosphere here it’s going to be tough for them to play here so that is a key point. Northview they’re always good they have some special kids but we have some special kids too and I think this Friday will be a match up of you know who wants it more so and I think this kids out here that are fighting right now they want it more,” McDonald said. Northview at Owen Valley is set for a 7 pm kickoff in Spencer on Friday night.
