CLINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — It was big night for high school football Friday at South Vermillion High School as the host Wildcats welcomed in Terre Haute North, Terre Haute South and Northview for the annual jamboree.

The Wildcats won both of their quarters in the jamboree including the first quarter against Terre Haute North where quarterback Dom Garzolini found three different receivers on long touchdown passes. South Vermillion opens the season August 18th at West Vigo.

In the second quarter, both Terre Haute South and Northview found the endzone. Braves running back Zyeiar White punched it in from one yard out for South’s lone score of the quarter. Northview quarterback Kyle Cottee also ran in a touchdown for the Knights. Northview travels to Terre Haute North week one.

In the third quarter Terre Haute South and Terre Haute North did battle. The Patriots got it going on offense first as quarterback Harrison Wentzel completed a deep ball to Vince Dates inside the 5. Terre Haute South scored two touchdowns in the quarter. One on the ground courtesy of Zyeiar White and one through the air as Brady Wilson fired a touchdown pass to Chris Herrin.

Terre Haute South opens the season at home against Plainfield while the Michael Ghant era will begin for Terre Haute North at home against the Northview Knights.
