TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – On Friday, the Indiana State Sycamores opened basketball practice with some lofty expectations. ISU was picked to finish 4th in the Missouri Valley Conference. That’s due to returning talent like senior guard Tyreke Key and sophomore forward Jake Laravia. They both feel the Sycamores are poised for success. “As of right now we have chemistry. Everybody is building that every day. We are all getting better. Everyone is in the gym working hard. I like where we are at right now,” Key said.

Laravia added: “We are all pumped for this season definitely. We are pumped for that first Florida season tournament. We have to keep the energy levels high and be ready to go,” he said. ISU opens the season in the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero Florida on Wednesday November 25th. Matchups have not been announced.
