MOORESVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Jamari Pamplin’s walk-off in the bottom of the 7th gives Centerville a 6-5 win over Linton in 2A Semi-State Saturday.

The Miners took the lead in the top of the inning on Jaxon Walker’s single, 5-4. However, the Dogs loaded the bases in the bottom of the inning thanks to an error and a hit batter and they win in dramatic fashion to advance to the state finals.

Linton’s dream season comes to an end (15-10-1) after winning the first baseball regional title in school history.

“The most important thing to take away from this is these guys did what nobody in the Valley thought we could do except for us,” says head coach Jacob Harden.

“We were the only ones that thought we could do this and we did. We proved a lot of people wrong and we put Linton Baseball on the map and I’m so proud of these guys. This is going to sting for a long time. This is going to haunt my dreams for a long time, but we will be back.”
