WACO, Tx. (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana State Senior Pitcher Connor Fenlong was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association pitcher of the month for the month of May.

Fenlong made four starts for the Sycamores in May throwing 3 complete game shutouts and only allowing one unearned run.

After Saturday’s win over Iowa in the Terre Haute Regional, Fenlong improved to 11-2 overall on the season with a 3.33 ERA. He has pitched at least seven innings in seven of his last eight outings and has thrown four complete game shutouts since April this season.
