BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Terre Haute North Patriots will travel to Brazil Friday night to open up the high school football season against the Northview Knights. The teams have split the last two meetings.

Northview won at North, 48-28 last season.

“North is always a tough game for us. I think the all-time series record is like 4-30 in their favor, “says Northview Head Coach Mark Raetz.

“Lately, we have been playing close games. They have a lot of experience back. I think they are going to be a really good team this year, lot of seniors, we are definitely going to have our work cut out for us.”

Terre Haute North beat Northview in overtime, 27-21 in 2020.

Jonathan Millington returns an interception against Terre Haute South in Friday’s jamboree.

“Northview is a great team. Coach Raetz does a great job. Ever since he has taken over there he has really turned that program around,” says North Head Coach Billy Blundell.

“Great rivalry. Last year they got the best of us. They have our full attention this year.”

Kickoff is set for 7pm Friday night in Brazil.
