TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana State’s Dakota Caton is primed to have a big final season with the Sycamores. The preseason All-MVFC return specialist saw action in eleven games last year catching 23 passes for 291 yards and two touchdowns.
“It was probably halfway through the season before he was really getting back to full form,” says Head Coach Curt Mallory.
“He’s going to be a game changer not only at the wide receiver position, but as a returner.”
Now, he’s ready to help lead the turnaround for the Sycamores in 2023.
“Just play the whole season,” says Caton.
“I want to be there for my teammates both on special teams and on offense and just be able to be a playmaker for my guys.”
The Sycamores open the season against the Panthers on August 31st.
