GREENWOOD, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Terre Haute South’s girls soccer team defeated North 2-1 on Thursday evening at Center Grove High School. Freshman Brenna Ireland scored both goals for the Braves. She made it 2-1 with under 5 minutes to play on a crosser into the box from Margo Mallory that deflected perfectly to Ireland.

North’s goal came when Caroline Gauer was taken down inside the box following a corner kick. She was awarded a penalty kick and converted to tie it with just over 11 minutes remaining. South will take on Center Grove on Saturday at 2 pm for the sectional championship.
