TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Terre Haute South junior Courtney Jones is leading the charge for the Braves Track and Field team as they march into regionals Tuesday night. Jones is already a four-time sectional champion and has her sights set on making it to state.

Courtney Jones says, “Last year I was imagining this, I mean I thought I could do it. It was just nice to see that I was able to pull it off this year and I deserve what I earn and I’m just thankful for everything.”

Josh Lee says, “New school record in the 100 hurdles, I believe they went back and looked so I will have to triple check on that. New school record there. I think she is going to have a couple more that she’s going to continue to work on throughout the tournament and I think our four by one also had a season best and it certainly helps to have an athlete that can potentially put 40 points in your bank.”

Regionals begin Tuesday at Bloomington North.
