ISU Softball Snaps Losing Skid

The Indiana State softball team snapped their losing skid with a 6-5 win over Bradley on Sunday in Terre Haute.  Leslie Sims bunted in the winning run in the fifth inning. With two outs, runners on second and third she beat out the throw to give the Sycamores the lead.

Della Gher shone on the mound, allowing only two hits, no walks and a career-high four strikeouts. She retired the last seven Braves in order.  The Sycamores scored five runs in the third inning to tie the game after falling behind 5-0.  With the win they improve to 17-17 on the season and head to Purdue for a doubleheader on Wednesday.
