ISU offensive line primed for big season

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – In three weeks the Indiana State Sycamores will open the 2019 season at Kansas. One of the strengths for them will be the veteran offensive line. ISU boasts five 5th year seniors in front of quarterback Ryan Boyle.

Kevin Kcehowski (Pittsburgh, PA), Wyatt Wozniak (Cypress, TX), Mason Flechler (Bardstown, KY), James Lang (Stillwater, MN) and Isaiah Edwards (Katy, TX) make up the group that will be largely responsible for the Sycamores success in 2019. Says Kcehowski: “The really cool thing is all the young guys that come in you know we all become great friends real quick we’re a super tight group it’s kind of weird not to see you know at least 10 out of the 14 of us together all the time so there’s a real brother hood there and I think that’s what’s the best part about it.”

Wozniak says the offensive lineman have shirts that say run the ball on them. “We love running the ball as an O line it kind of shows off what we can do and obviously we love passing the ball because we have Ryan Boyle back there but as an O line you want to run the ball so of course that’s what we want to do,” he said. They’ll need to play well on August 31st at Kansas before returning home for Dayton on September 7th.
