ISU drops home opener to Dayton

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Dayton Flyers pulled a bit of an upset on Saturday afternoon, defeating Indiana State 42-35 at Memorial Stadium. The Sycamores twice rallied from 14 point deficits to tie the game at 35. Dayton went ahead after a 13 yard touchdown from Sean Prophit with 1:57 left. ISU tried to rally but quarterback Ryan Boyle’s pass was intercepted by Zack Rumpke with 18 seconds left. ISU drops to 0-2 on the year and host Eastern Kentucky next Saturday.
