Indiana State football continued their spring practice at Memorial Stadium on Thursday afternoon. A key member of the team is redshirt senior quarterback Ryan Boyle. He helped lead the Sycamores to five straight wins to close out the 2018 season. The Sycamores finished 7-5 and hope to be even better this year. Linebacker Jonas Griffith led the way on defense with 132 tackles and an interception. Head coach Curt Mallory says the team is excited heading into the ISU Spring Game on April 27th.
“I think we’re all excited you can see it you know when we’re out here there’s an energy out here there’s a confidence and this is a close knit group and they’re fun to coach they want to be good they come out here and they work hard so we’re looking forward to next season but we still got a lot of work ahead of us,” Mallory said. The season opener is August 31st at Kansas.
