ISU Begins Search for New Volleyball Head Coach

Indiana State Director of Athletics Sherard Clinkscales announced today (Dec. 12) that Traci Dahl-Skinner will not return as head coach of the volleyball program.
“We are thankful to coach Dahl-Skinner for her years of service to Sycamore Athletics and the volleyball program,” Clinkscales said. “She has mentored many successful student-athletes during her time here. However, after thorough evaluation, I have determined that it is time for Indiana State volleyball to move in a new direction. I wish coach Dahl-Skinner all the best in her future endeavors.”
Indiana State won 101 games during her nine-year tenure with the program. The Sycamores advanced to the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament just twice (2011 & 2014).
She coached an All-Missouri Valley Conference performer in six of her nine seasons at the helm, and placed seven student-athletes on the MVC All-Academic team. Her program also received eight team academic awards from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately. Senior Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator Angie Lansing and assistant coach Nicole Wilson will coordinate the Sycamore volleyball program until a replacement is named.
