Indiana State football holds annual scrimmage

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Indiana State Sycamores held their annual blue – white scrimmage on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium. One of the question marks of this year’s team is who will be the starting quarterback. Kurtis Wilderman, Gunnar See and Anthony Thompson all took turns running the first team offense against the first team defense. See connected with Dante Hendrix on a touchdown on one of the opening drives. The second score came from running back Peterson Kerlegrand.

On defense Kaleal Davis ended a drive with an interception in the end zone. Two players to watch on that unit will be defensive lineman Inoke Moala and linebacker Kelvin Broome Jr. They are expected to lead a unit that hasn’t played a game since November 2019. The Sycamores opted out of the 2020 season. The season opener is set for August 28th at home against Eastern Illinois. Kickoff is slated for 6 pm.
