Hunt helping Colton Herta

INDIANAPOLIS (WTWO/WAWV) – Terre Haute’s own David Hunt is spotting for Colton Herta in this year’s Indianapolis 500.

Herta will start second in Sunday’s big race and Hunt likes his chances.

Hunt says, “This kid has got it figured out. He’s an incredible driver. Our goal is to give them a little added information that helps during the race and try to keep them safe, first and foremost. For being such a young guy, he really has a feel for this place and I’m looking forward to a good run on Sunday.”

Colton Herta says, “The spotters are everything for the drivers. They are the eyes in the sky that keep us safe so they let us know everything that’s going on around us, in front of us so we can avoid any potential danger.”

Catch the race this Sunday on WTWO. Coverage begins at 11am.
