Hatchets ready for improvement in 2019

WASHINGTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Washington Hatchets are gearing up for the 2019 football season. Head coach Jake Durnil begins his 5th season as head coach of a team that is ready to show improvement.

Durnil says,”Last year we were a very young team. I told a lot of people we were a JV team playing a varsity schedule. Now a lot of our puppies are juniors and seniors. Learning day by day and game by game last year has really helped us this year going into the 2019 season.

The Hatchets will open with road games at Boonville and Evansville Bosse.
