TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Rose-Hulman led for nearly the entire game on Saturday against Franklin, but the Grizzlies scored in the final minute and went for two to secure the win. Braden Smith ran in the two point conversion with 38 seconds remaining. Just before that Smith found Cole Daab for a 17 yard touchdown to cut it to 28-27 Rose-Hulman.
For the Engineers Garrett Wight had 94 yards rushing and two touchdowns in the second half. Andrew Dion had 201 yards passing and two touchdown throws to Jake Zimmerman and Adam Sturgeon. Rose drops to 2-2 on the season, Franklin improves to 2-3. Next week Rose-Hulman goes to Bluffton and Franklin hosts Anderson for homecoming.
