WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – There is a new business in town geared to football players and it’s run by a former Indiana State football player. Four Quarters Football opened recently in West Terre Haute, it’s run by John McClain who played for the Sycamores in 2019.
John says he saw a void in sports fitness which is what gave him the idea to open Four Quarters. “I love all of it, everything about it teaching kids the right way to do everything making them love fitness and athletics. You look at how much like iphones and ipads and video games have come into kids lives really getting them back into football getting them back into loving sports and stretching doing it the right way I want that to be around so that’s why I feel like that stretching is a huge part,” McClain said.
He already has a client in West Vigo alum Dane Andrews. The two played together for the Vikings in high school. Dane has since gone on to star for the Franklin Grizzlies. He had a good first season with 1,526 yards and seven touchdowns.
Dane believes the training at Four Quarters will help him have an even better sophomore season. “We do footwork drills some cognitive training it’s a mental just some things don’t go your way you’ve got to stay focused and get through it we do agility, speed everything strength. I had a decent first year I want to come back better and I think with everything John has helped me with I should have a good season,” Andrews said.
Athletes interested in signing up can contact John at (812) 249-2501 or at email@example.com. Four Quarters Football is located at 555 West National Avenue in West Terre Haute.
