BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Northview junior Drew Cook is averaging 19.9 points per game this season for the Knights. One of the best scorers in the Wabash Valley has stepped up his play in recent weeks and has two, big motivating factors.

Drew Cook says, “I’ve been playing with a chip on my shoulder. I see other kids getting offers. That’s my main goal is to get a scholarship this year so in this year.”

“I always play for my Grandpa. He’s battled with health issues so every time I’m out there and off to a rough start he’s my main thing that I look forward to so if I’m having a rough start my teammates and coaches help my confidence. After the first quarter, I’m like alright I need to hit shots and help my team out in any way so that’s what I was trying to do today.”

Northview will host South Putnam Friday night. Catch highlights in Goin’ 2 The Hoop at 11pm on WTWO.
