EAGAN, Min. (WTWO/WAWV) – A day after being released by the Seattle Seahawks, Terre Haute native Danny Etling has signed with the Minnesota Vikings on Monday. Etling spent the 2020 season on the Seattle practice squad and did not see any action.
With the claiming of Etling, the Vikings are now up to three quarterbacks that have not been made to isolate because of COVID protocols with Jake Browning, Case Cookus, and now Etling. Originally drafted by the New England Patriots in 2018, Etling spent the 2018 season with the Patriots as a part of their practice squad. He was briefly moved to wide receiver by the Patriots and later waived, getting claimed by the Atlanta Falcons.
