Kenyon Sholty, Derrick May and Cole Whitlock all made it official on Wednesday afternoon at Terre Haute South high school. Sholty signed to play for the Indiana State Sycamores… Where he looks to play tight end for coach Kurt Mallory.
As a senior Sholty had 21 catches for 208 yards and three touchdowns. He also played defense where he had 68 tackles and two sacks.
Derrick May also played for the Braves football squad. He’s going to Millikin University in Decatur Illinois.
For his career May started 21 games at defensive end and center. He finished with 45 total tackles with 24 being solo. He looks to play mainly on the offensive line for the big blue.
And rounding off the trio is Cole Whitlock. The Braves centerfielder is off to Anderson University. Cole helped the Braves win the sectional title last spring and played varsity all four years.
Offensively he hit .362 with 10 stolen bases. On the mound he was 2-1 with a 3.09 ERA in 13 appearances. He was reliable in the field as well with only one error in 31 games as a junior.
