TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Terre Haute South Braves swept West Vigo in a doubleheader on Friday evening. South won the first game 4-2 after a rally in the 6th inning. West Vigo’s Dilun King had a no hitter going until it was broken up by Blaze Schultz. He later scored on a two run double by Ayden Macke as the Braves scored four times in the frame. Caleb Stultz closed out the top of the 7th inning on the mound for South.
In game 2 Stultz and Jackson McFarland both homered for South in a 9-6 victory. Jacob Rutledge also had a sacrifice for a run and Max Scamihorn had a 2 run double that tied the game at four. He also pitched the final inning to seal the victory.
