Blundell begins first year for Patriots

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Terre Haute North Patriots hit the practice field Monday morning for their first practice of the season. Head coach Billy Blundell takes over for Chris Barrett. Blundell has spent 17 seasons at North as an assistant and even played quarterback for the Pats.

Billy Blundell says,”Being named the head coach here has been kinda surreal. I’ve been a North kid this entire time and now I guess I’m a North man. It’s been exciting and I’m looking forward to trying to progess our kids to even higher levels than we did with Coach Barrett.”

Griffin Klingerman says, “Guys are flying around this year. Everybody’s hype. Everybody’s excited for this upcoming season. Hopefully this carries on.”
