Barr-Reeve & Linton primed for success

Sports

MONTGOMERY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Two area teams to keep an eye on this basketball season are the Barr-Reeve boys and Linton girls. Barr-Reeve had a good chance to win the state championship last Spring, before the abrupt end to the boys season. They return Brycen Graber, Hagen Knepp along with Forest Park transfer Curt Hopf. Hopf is a 6’9″ power forward who will sign to play at Bellarmine University in Louisville on Monday. The Vikings have high hopes for a return to the state championship game.

Meanwhile it’s a similar goal for the Linton-Stockton Lady Miners. They are the defending class 2A state champions. Their entire team returns including Vanessa Shafford, Aubrey Burgess, Haley Rose and Jaylee Hayes. They have started the season 3-0 following a win over Edgewood on Saturday night.
