Averi Davidson sets new scoring record at North Central

FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – North Central’s Averi Davidson is the new school scoring leader with 1,737 points after she finished wit 29 points in a victory over Clay City on Thursday night. Davidson broke the previous record held by Rebecca Forsyth set in 2003, that record was 1,730 points. She set the mark on a layup in the 4th quarter, and officials paused the game to recognize the achievement. Davidson says it’s been fun to be a part of the program’s turnaround. “It’s been the best four years of my life I mean this basketball program has done a complete flip and I’m so thankful to be a part of it. I’m happy with everything we’ve had to go through this year with COVID and our two starters being out I’m really happy just playing and being able to get some wins that’s really what it’s all about,” she said.
