PARIS, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Residents in Northern Edgar County voted in favor of a property tax increase that will be used to provide an ambulance service.
According to the referendum, the rate will not exceed $0.20 per $100 of the value of the taxable property within rouilletts Creek Township, Edgar Township, Prairie Township, Ross Township, Shiloh Township, Young America Township, the Village of Metcalf, the Village of Hume and the City of Chrisman.
The ambulance will provide service in the taxed areas.
