VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — At noon on Monday, early voting wrapped up at the Vigo County Annex, ahead of tomorrow’s municipal election.

Chief deputy clerk Leanna Moore said early voter turnout has been a little low and that as of this past weekend, around 4,000 people had voted. The municipal election will decide a number of city races, including the Terre Haute mayor.

Moore explains further why this election is different from last year’s county election.

“This is a municipal election. It’s only a city election, so only people living in the city limits can vote, so it’s really not comparable to a county election where the entire county can vote,” Moore said.

The polls tomorrow will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
