Early voting: Where to cast a ballot in the Wabash Valley

FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Early voting is underway in Illinois and Indiana. Here is where you can cast your ballot locally:

Indiana

Clay County

Early voting will be available at Clay County Election Office Courthouse, 609 E National Ave, Room 211, Brazil Ind. during the following times.

  • 8 a.m. noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 6 – Oct. 30
  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 24
  • 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 2

Polls will also be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Perry Township Fire House located 500 S Center Street in Cory, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Bowling Green Community Center located at 5230 E. Washington St. in Bowling Green.

Daviess County

Early voting will be available in Daviess County at the County Clerk’s Office, 200 East Walnut Street in Washington. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through Oct. 30 and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 and Oct. 31.

Greene County

Early voting will be available at the Greene County Clerk’s Office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until Oct. 30. Polls will also be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 31; and from 8 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 2.

Early voting will also be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Center Township Fire Department in Bloomfield; and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Roy Clark Building at the Linton Park.

Knox County

Early voting will be held at the Old Jail Sally Port, 135 N. 8th Street in Vincennes. Times will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until Oct. 30; from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 and Oct. 31; and from 8 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 2.

Martin County

Early voting will be available at the County Clerk’s Office, 129 Main Street in Shoals. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through Oct. 30; from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24; and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday Oct. 31 through Monday, Nov. 2.

Parke County

Early voting will be held in the basement of the Parke County Courthouse, 116 W. High Street in Rockville. Times will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until Oct. 30; from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 31; and from 8 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 2.

Vermillion County

Early voting will be available at the Vermillion County Courthouse auditorium, 255 S. Main Street in Newport. Times will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until Oct. 30 and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24, Saturday, Oct. 31 and Monday, Nov. 2.

Early voting will also be available beginning Thursday, Oct. 8 at the Linton City Municipal Building Kitchen located at 259 Vine Street. Times will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 31.

Vigo County

Several early voting centers are available in Vigo County. Beginning Oct. 6, polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday at:

  • Haute City Center, 3401 S US Hwy 41 T.H. IN 47802
  • Meadows Shopping Mall, Lower Level, 300 S 25th St T.H. IN 47803
  • Vigo County Annex, 147 Oak St T.H. IN 47807

Each of the above locations will also be open Columbus Day, Oct. 12, Saturday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 31.

Beginning Oct. 27, the following polling places will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday:

  • National Guard Armory, 3614 Maple Ave T.H. IN 47804
  • Vigo County Solid Waste Management, 3230 E Haythorne Ave T.H. IN 47805
  • Operating Engineers, 6801 S US Hwy 41 T.H. IN 47802
  • West Vigo Elementary Conference Center, 501 W Olive St W.T.H. IN 47885
  • IBEW  Local Union #725, 5675 E Hulman Dr T.H. IN 47803

Illinois

Clark County

All early voting will take place at the Clark County Clerk’s Office located in the courthouse. Note that everyone must enter the courthouse at the east entrance.

Hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office will also be open from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays in October.

Crawford County

Early voting for all precincts will be available through the Crawford County Clerk’s Office in the courthouse annex in the county board room on the second floor.

Regular hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended hours will be available from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 3; from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20; from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29; and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 31.

Edgar County

Early voting for all precincts will be held at the Edgar County Courthouse. Hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Jasper County

Early voting for all precincts will be available at the Jasper County Clerk’s Office. Hours will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended hours will also be available from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 31.

Lawrence County

Early voting for all precincts will be available at the Lawrence County Clerk’s Office in the courthouse. Hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended hours will also be available from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, Oct. 31.

Richland County

Early voting for all precincts will be available at the County Clerk’s Office at Richland County Courthouse. Hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Extending voting hours will also be available at the from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, Tuesday, Oct. 20 and Friday, Oct. 23 and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 31.

Additional early voting opportunities will be available from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Fox River Apartments and from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19 at the Noble Lion’s Club.
