Yet Another Alleged Police Impersonator in the Valley

News

We have yet another case of a person allegedly impersonating a police officer, this one in Vermillion County, Indiana.

Police in that area learned that a man driving a late model Mecedes SUV with a handgun on his side had pulled someone over.

A Cayuga man, Timothy Crone, 45, had a vehicle like that.  Police went to his Cayuga home.  He admitted to pulling the vehicle over and carrying the gun.

Crone was taken to the Vermillion Jail near Newport and later bailed out.  Police kept the weapon pending an outcome in the case.

Police remind you that law enforcement in Indiana must either be in a marked vehicle or in a clearly identifiable police uniform if in an unmarked vehicle.
