Year In Review: How weather impacted the Wabash Valley in 2019

News

As we near the end of 2019, we’re looking back at how weather impacted the Wabash Valley.

WTWO Chief Meteorologist Jesse Walker poured over the monthly records and Meteorologist Dan Reynolds put together this year in review.

Jesse and Dan record data for the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

Their reports on temperatures and precipitation, along with reports from across the nation, go to the National Archives in Washington, DC.

Both Jesse and Dan have been honored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration for their many years of record keeping.

Every 30 years, the average temperatures and precipitation numbers are re-balanced. Jesse and Dan’s diligent number-keeping is a part of that effort.
