WTWO/WAWV receives award for community service

FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — WTWO/WAWV was one of approximately 70 TV and radio stations to receive a 2019 Cardinal Community Service Award from the Indiana Broadcasters Association.

Named after the Indiana state bird – the Cardinal – the awards are a symbol of dedicated service.

“Hoosier broadcasters like you are leaders in the community. By shedding light on community stories, fundraising efforts, and emergency service alerts, you are helping build a stronger Indiana,” U.S. Rep. Larry Bucshon, M.D. wrote in a congratulatory letter.

Rep. Bucshon also thanked WTWO/WAWV for its work with program such as Reach Veterans Services which serves homeless and at-risk veterans throughout the Wabash Valley.
