WTWO staff gives back to the community

GRAYSVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — WTWO staff members rolled up their sleeves and rolled on paint Thursday at Rural Community Academy in Graysville.

It’s in honor of the creation of WTWO’s parent company, Nexstar Media Group. The company was founded 25 years ago.

For several years, Nexstar TV stations have participated in “Founder’s Day of Caring” on June 17 by giving back to their communities.

“Literally, thousands and thousands of Nexstar employees all over the country are doing service projects similar to what we’re doing,” Vice President and General Manager of WTWO Tim Sturgess, who participated in the event, said.

In the past, WTWO staff members have also spent “Founder’s Day of Caring” doing volunteer projects for Habitat for Humanity, Sullivan County 4-H and Griffin Bike Park among others.
