The coldest weather of the season has settled over the Wabash Valley, hopefully you’re bundling up, and with snow in the forecast. we hope you’re taking extra care on the roads.
The Terre Haute Street Departments has switched gears from leaf pick up to snow patrol.
Their trucks are ready for the winter which means the plows are attached, and the salt boxes are on the backs of the trucks. The city has a staff of 35 and 13 trucks.
We aren’t expecting a lot of snow, but when it gets here officials says they’re ready to go.
“We have never ran short, that will handle the whole winter. In fact the way this winter is shaping up we will have more than enough,” said Transportation Director, Brad Miller.
