VIGO Co., Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The West Central Indiana Economic Development District announced a rebrand, including a new name on Thursday morning.
The organization will now be known as Thrive West Central.
Thrive West Central was first created to oversee economic and and community development in a six county region, including Vigo, Sullivan, Clay, Parke, Vermillion, and Putnam.
Another focus of the organization is addressing the needs of the older and disabled population, including providing adequate transportation services.
The rebranding also includes new leadership, new staff, restructuring of departments, and redefining goals.
“We help solve problems and really elevate our current assets and bring in new ones in a very collaborative way that’s done at lowest possible cost to save tax payers money,” said Executive Director Ryan Keller.
