Well Deserved Recognition

Some heroes in our community received some well deserved praise.  It happened Wednesday evening during Terre Haute Firefighters Recognition and Commendation Dinner.

First Financial Bank sponsored the 13th annual event at the student union on the Indiana State University. campus.  The event honors members of the Terre Haute Fire Department for service to the community.

The Firefighter of the Year for 2017 was Firefighter Kevin Price.  The Paramedic of the Year was Firefighter Bram Sanders.  The Fire Chief’s Exceptional Service Award went to Captain Jason Kane.

“But for us to recognize each other it means that we care we care about each other, said Chief Jeff Fisher, of the Terre Haute Fire Department.  We care about our brothers and sisters and we care about the people in the community.”

Fire Chief Pascal Arnes of the Decatur Township Fire Department was the guest speaker. Congratulations to all the people honored during the event.
