Washington man charged after leading police on 100 mph chase

PIKE Co., Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Washington man is in jail after leading police on chase while driving over 100 miles per hour.

Indiana State Police said they tried to stop James Coy of Washington for false registration.

They said Coy refused to stop and instead started speeding away.

Shortly after police said Coy pulled over and stopped near Daviess County.

He was taken into custody without.

Police say a woman was found unconscious in the passenger seat, but breathing. She was given NARCAN and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Coy was taken to the Pike County Jail where he’s being held without bond.

He is charged with reckless driving and resisting law enforcement.
