Wabash Valley Women Help Gatlinburgh, TN Victims

Chantel Eaton runs an animal rescue organization in Linton.

When she heard an animal shelter outside of Gatlinburgh in Severeville, Tennessee burned to the ground, she knew she had to help.

Like many people she went to Facebook.

She decided to collect supplies for the animals and told people on Facebook that if they wanted to help they could drop off items around 11 one day.

Car after car came pouring in with items for more than just animals. And what started out as a quick trip in an SUV turned into a trip with three other women and Uhaul.

Along with that Uhaul, the Plus Program which is a program at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility donated 100 quilts made by prisoners to give to people in need.

They were able to help hundreds of people whether it was donating clothing or helping someone find a job.
