TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — After 50 years of service to the Wabash Valley, CEO and president of Wabash Valley Goodwill Industries, Bill Tennis, is set to retire.

Tennis started working for Goodwill in 1971 in various positions before becoming president in 1982.
While reflecting on his career, Tennis said he helped increased employment in the Wabash Valley with his role, along with supportive services and expanded donation operations.

He said he still plans to keep busy after retirement in a couple weeks.

“I’ve been renovating a small, pull behind camper and I plan on traveling over the United States and often revisiting places I’ve already been,” Tennis said. “I’ve always liked running around and now that I’ll have more time, I can spend a lot more time doing that kind of stuff.”

Meredith Osburn will become the new Wabash Valley Goodwill Industries’ fourth president and CEO.
