ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A visitor to the Rockville Correctional Facility is arrested on identity theft charges.

The Indiana Department of Correction says Tracy West of Chicago provided false identification and identified herself as that person both orally, and by signature, while trying to visit an inmate at the facility.

West was arrested and transported to the Parke County Jail.

In a news release, the IDOC says it

“encourages visits to offenders, but all proper processes to visit must be followed and anyone determined to make entry to an IDOC facility under a false identity will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law as possible.”
