VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Community members in Vincennes participated in a March for Life Protest this morning.

The March for Life Protest is an annual protest against the practice of abortion.

The march started at the Old Cathedral Catholic Church and continued through the streets of Vincennes. Those who participated walked around singing songs and chants.

“Its very important and its just a blessing to be able to do that in this country. We have the freedom in our First Amendment to be able to do that and to peacefully assemble and do that in a way that is prayerful and it was wonderful,” Participant Nicole Like said.

The March for Life event takes place in Washington D.C.
