Village Quarter Apartments released a statement Tuesday, regarding the homicide of its resident Matt Luecking.

Luecking was found dead in his apartment shortly after 11 A.M. on Monday. Police have arrested Kathleen Featherstone, Benjamin Selig and John Collins in connection to his death.

Village Quarter’s Property Manager Amber Tegtmeyer released the following statement:

“Our hearts are heavy today as we mourn the loss of Matt Luecking, a resident of The Village Quarter Apartments for over 15 years.

We would like our residents to know that they should not be concerned for their safety in any way. This was an isolated incident. Those that are involved in this crime are not residents of The Village Quarter and are not to our knowledge affiliated with anyone at The Village Quarter other than the victim.

We believe that The Village Quarter is one of the safest apartment communities in Terre Haute and/or Vigo County. The majority of our employees, including management, and their families live in The Village Quarter Community.

Our condolences and prayers go out to Matt’s family and the community during this difficult time. The Village Quarter is aiding law enforcement in finding justice for Matt and his family.”
