VIGO Co., Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Vigo County voters are continuing to come out in numbers to cast an early ballot.
The Meadows, Haute City Center and the Vigo County Annex opened for the first Saturday of early voting.
Polling places enforced masking and social distancing, with floor marks for voters to stand and vote 6 feet apart.
A total of 820 voters showed up to the polls Saturday, according the Vigo County Clerk’s Office.
One voter said she was pleased with her experience.
“I honestly thought we were going to have to wait forever. I wasn’t sure how distancing was going to work and people wearing masks, but everyone is wearing them and it feels very safe. I haven’t been in any buildings since this all happened, and I felt very comfortable here,” said Alexa Brown.
Saturday voting in Vigo County will also take place on October 31.
